“We had to battle hard to come away with a point” said Steve Walker following a second successive goal-less draw.

We know that we can play better and today we lacked that bit of quality in the final third, but in the long term it is vitally important not to lose to the teams around us in the table and we achieved that this afternoon.

From the four games over the festive period we have taken eight points with two wins followed by two draws, and we would certainly have taken that at the start.

We are now up to fifth with games in hand on the other play-off contenders and  we look forward to pushing on in the second half of the season.”
