“What a pleasure you’ve been to watch. Go and show the world what you can do”
Will Dawes has moved into full time football joining Yeovil Town for ‘an undisclosed five figure fee’ (Stratford Herald) – 1/9/22 – as Jed mentions, joining other ex-Town players who have made the step up the pyramid.
Having made a couple of appearances in the curtailed 20/21 season, The ‘skilful, direct and energetic attacking wide man’ was virtually ever-present last season making 36 appearances & 8 as sub, scoring 7 goals – and who can forget that winner v Boston Utd in the FA Cup 4th qualifying round replay to set up the home tie with Shrewsbury. His performances in his “first full season in men’s football” that season lead to him winning the Supporters Player of the Year. This season, Will was ever present making 6 appearances (2 as sub) turning in some fine performances including a Man of the Match performance in his last game for us.
Good luck Dawsey – we will follow your progress with interest

“Will’s exciting style of play has electrified the Bards fans and scored arguably the most important goal in the clubs history with his expertly taken winner against Boston United in the 4th qualifying replay which triggered some unforgettable scenes at the Arden Garages Stadium.”
