Stratford Town FC are partnering up with the Tiddington Village Residents Association to help brighten up the village in these challenging times through a mass flower planting programme. Part of this programme will involve planting 250 daffodils at the entrance to the Arden Garages stadium on Knights Lane.
Club director Andy Chilton who is coordinating the planting commented. “One of our clubs aims is to strengthen it’s connections to the local community so it’s great that we have been included in Tiddington in Bloom for the first time. The commitee have bought the bulbs for the club and we aim to provide the resource to do the planting so we’re looking for two or three volunteers to complete this task.”
“The latest Covid announcements mean that it’s not appropriate to have large groups from different households working together so any planter volunteers must bring and use their own spades and trowels and carry out planting with appropriate distancing from fellow workers unless they are from the same household.”
