“We were always going to come up against days like today” reflected a disappointed Town boss Thomas Baillie after seeing his side struggle to break down a stubborn Rushall defence.
“We were poor in the first half both individually and collectively and it was our mistake which led to their goal. We were much better after the break but their keeper pulled off some outstanding saves and we just couldn’t create the necessary openings.
They fought for their lives, and had they played like that all season they would surely be far higher up the table than they are.
There are still four games to go and apart from Alvechurch winning the other results have all gone for us. It is still all about ourselves so we need to stay focussed and get back to donig what we have been doing up to now.”.
