“We showed tremendous resilience and resolution to come from behind and win against a very good side” beamed a delighted Thomas Baillie afterwards. “And after our win against the Diamonds last week it was tremendous to take three more points against another play off rival.
For the first 40 minutes I felt that we were playing well n challenging conditions and were comfortably the better side , but then we had a difficult five minutes when they scored and shortly after hit the bar. That was undoubtedly the turning point of the game as had we gone in at half time two down it would have been hard to come back.
So those five minutes immediately before the break were critical and we needed to regroup quickly in the second half . Will’s strike for the equaliser was sublime but he was knocking them in during training on Thursday so we knew he could do it.
And Mike then fired in the winner after a perfect through ball from Cody who had another excellent game in Kynan Isaac’s absence.
But I feel that I must also again mention L:ewis Wilson. As I’ve said before he seems to attract criticism which in my opinion is totally undeserved.
His attitude is superb and he is prepared to play in any in any position I ask him to. He was exceptional today and he has never let me or the side down.”
