January could be a season defining month for Town Youth who return to action after their Christmas break with a MFYL Premier Division South fixture against Halesowen Town at the Arden Garages Stadium this coming Thursday.
Darren Timms’ side are currently occupying third spot in the table and are handily placed to mount a title challenge in the second half of the season being six points behind leaders Worcester City with a whopping five games in hand and just two points behind second placed Gloucester City with four games in hand.
And later in January they have what will be vitally important home matches against both these rivals with Worcester City visiting the Arden Garages Stadium om Thursday January 24th followed by Gloucester City a week later.
However a bigger challenge to their title aspirations may come from Rugby Borough Juniors who are four points behind Town having played the same number of games but who are the only team to get the better of Town in the League this season when they won 3-2 at Rugby back in September.
A date for the reverse fixture has yet to be scheduled
But before all that Town continue their defence of the MFYL League Cup on Wednesday January 16th when they travel to face Eastern Division side Leicester Road in a Fourth Round tie with the winners progressing into the Quarter Finals.
