Following Worcester City’s decision to play at a lower level next season it is understood that Bishops Stortford have been provisionally named to take their spot in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division.
Stortford had finished last season in 23rd place in National League South and had been expecting to be relegated into the Isthmian League Premier Division, but subject to final confirmation have now been re-routed to join Town in the Southern League.
And Town supporters may well remember their only previous meeting with Stortford back in October 2006 when a side containing the legendary Dennis Bailey among others went down narrowly in an F A Cup Third Qualifying Round tie.
Gosport Borough will also come into the Southern League from National League South as Champions Chippenham Town move in the opposite direction while and Play Off winners Leamington head to National League North.
